SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Sarasota partner Steven J. Chase was made an honorary member of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court at the May 10, 2016 gala.  The objectives of the Inn are the establishment and maintenance of a membership of judges, lawyers, legal educators, and law students, to promote excellence in legal advocacy, foster greater understanding of the system of American law, provide significant educational experiences that improve and enhance the skills of lawyers and judges, help the development of law students, promote collegiality among us, and carry ethical values from one generation to another.

Steven is Board Certified in Civil Trial in the State of Florida and is a Certified Circuit-Civil Mediator in both State and Federal Courts.  He devotes his practice primarily to business and construction litigation and dispute resolution and has extensive experience in trial work, arbitration, civil mediation, and administrative and appellate proceedings.  He received his J.D. from Emory University and his B.A., summa cum laude, from State University of New York at Albany.
