TOLEDO, OH – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Michael M. Briley, partner in the Toledo office, has been elected Chairman of the Antitrust Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) for a one-year terming beginning July 1, 2016.  Mike has served in numerous leadership positions at the OSBA, including Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Antitrust Law Section, Section Vice-Chair and Section Secretary. 

Mike provides regular antitrust and transportation law counseling for clients involved in a variety of domestic and international industries.  He frequently provides corporate counseling in the areas of antitrust compliance and risk avoidance, mergers and acquisitions and litigation avoidance, as well as national and international transportation law issues.

Mike is a member of the American Bar Association's Antitrust Law Section and is an Adjunct Professor of Antitrust Law at the University of Toledo.  He is on the Ohio Supreme Court Board of Bar Examiners, which is responsible for developing, administering, and grading the Ohio bar examination.  Mike is a recipient of the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law’s Community Service Award and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America^® in the Antitrust Law category.

Mike received his J.D., cum laude, from the Ohio State University College of Law and his B.A., with distinction, from Miami University.
