CHARLOTTE, NC – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Charlotte partner Lisa Hoffman was celebrated as a 2016 STANDOUT Honoree at last night’s Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Awards Banquet at The Ritz-Carlton. Lisa worked to raise $9,273 and was selected as this year’s Hitchcock Humanitarian Award winner. This award is given to the STANDOUT Honoree who has been an outstanding contributor to the advocacy and awareness of cystic fibrosis throughout their journey as a STANDOUT. The award was created in honor of Alfred Hitchcock and his beloved great-granddaughter, Melissa, who lost her battle with CF at the age of 24. Members of the Shumaker team, along with Lisa’s family and friends, attended the dinner to show support and continue fundraising.

Lisa’s primary area of practice is medical malpractice defense. Lisa received her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center where she served on the International Travel Law Journal and was a member of the Pro Bono Honor Program. She earned her B.S. from Appalachian State University, and is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Florida and the District of Columbia.
