TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Tampa partner Michele Leo Hintson and Tampa associate Timothy C. Garding spoke at the monthly meeting of the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management (PAHCOM), Tampa Chapter on February 20, 2017.  Michele presented on “Cutting the Cord: Termination and Severance Issues,” and Tim presented on “Interviewing and Selecting Employees: Everything You Need to Know Before You Say ‘You’re Hired.’”    PAHCOM provides a support network to the managers of small group and solo providers of health care practices.

Michele dedicates her practice to representing businesses, insurance companies, health care organizations and individuals in all aspects of the dispute resolution process, including, performing pre-suit investigations and risk management analysis, attending mediation sessions, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, conducting depositions, and advocating for clients at hearings, trials, and arbitrations.    She is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator.  Michele received her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Central Florida.

Tim’s principal areas of practice are healthcare, employment and labor, administrative/government law, and commercial litigation.  Tim received his J.D., cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law and his B.A. from University of Minnesota – Duluth.
