David J. Slenn Appointed to American Bar Association Group and Committee Leadership

TAMPA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Tampa partner Dave Slenn has been appointed Chair of the American Bar Association’s Non-Tax Estate Planning Considerations Group, which is composed of various committees dealing with insurance and financial planning, asset protection planning and non-tax issues affecting planning and administration of trusts and estates.  Dave has also been appointed to the Continuing Legal Education Committee.

Dave concentrates his practice in tax, estate and business planning with an emphasis on risk mitigation.   Dave is the current Chair for the Captive Insurance Committee in the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA) and a past Chair for the Asset Protection Planning Committee in the Section of Real Property Trusts and Estate Law of the American Bar Association (ABA.)  Additionally, he was an ABA Advisor to the Uniform Law Commission Drafting Committee for the Uniform Voidable Transactions Act (formerly the “Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act.”).
