Mandi Ballard Clay to Speak at Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association General Meeting

TAMPA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Tampa associate Mandi Ballard Clay will be speaking at the Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association General Meeting on November 2, 2018. Named after the first black full-time lawyer in Pinellas County, Florida, the Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association is the only predominately African-American voluntary bar association in Pinellas County. The meeting will take place at the Pinellas County Justice Center in Clearwater where Mandi will give a CLE presentation called "Lawyers, Interrupted, Getting Better, Together" regarding the mental health and wellness of attorneys and the steps the Florida Bar is taking to improve and raise awareness about mental health issues among attorneys. 

Mandi is a Certified Circuit Civil mediator and commercial litigator with experience in a variety of subject matters, including labor & employment, intellectual property, restrictive covenants, and class actions. She represents both public and private sector clients of all sizes by providing guidance before, during and after litigation. Mandi has experienced the practice of law from both sides of the bench, having clerked for U.S. District Judge Gregory A. Presnell and U.S. District Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell, both in the Middle District of Florida. She prides herself on being efficient and responsive to her clients and is dedicated to providing practical advice tailored to fit each client’s specific goals.
