CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Shumaker Partner Karen H. Stiles has been selected as a member of the Charlotte Business Journal's (CBJ) Women in Business Class of 2026, recognizing her outstanding professional achievements, leadership in health care law, and meaningful impact in the local business community.

In recognition of her professional excellence, Karen was also named to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly's Power List in both 2024 and 2025.

"We congratulate Karen on this well-deserved honor," said Shumaker's Charlotte Managing Partner Andy Culicerto. "Her commitment to excellence in client service, coupled with her deep experience in medical malpractice defense, exemplifies the highest standards of our profession, and we are proud to see her recognized among Charlotte's most influential business leaders."

Karen is one of 25 honorees chosen following an editorial review of their professional achievements and community involvement. CBJ's Women in Business Achievement Awards program celebrates leaders whose careers reflect excellence, influence, and dedication to service.

Charlotte Business Journal will recognize the Women in Business Class of 2026 in a special report to be published in March, highlighting each honoree's career journey, professional accomplishments, lessons learned, obstacles overcome, and sources of inspiration. The class will also be celebrated during an awards event on March 26 at The Westin Charlotte in Uptown.
