Deloris serves as Shumaker's Director of Attorney Development, providing strategic leadership for the professional development of all attorneys across the firm. In this role, she acts as a resource for continuous learning and leadership advancement and is instrumental in coordinating attorney onboarding, integration, training, and mentoring programs.
Prior to joining Shumaker, Deloris held attorney development and management roles at several AmLaw 100 firms, supporting attorneys across multiple offices, practices, and stages of their careers. She focused on creating thoughtful, individualized development experiences for attorneys while collaborating with practice and firm leaders on broader talent priorities. Deloris' experience spans attorney integrations and career development, performance management and feedback, training and professional development, mentoring, engagement, and retention.
With extensive experience in attorney and law firm professional development and training and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, Deloris is uniquely qualified to help design and implement attorney development initiatives that support excellent client service, leadership effectiveness, and long-term firm success.
Deloris earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and a B.A. in Psychology from Drew University. Outside of the office, she enjoys going to concerts and movie theaters, reading mystery novels, trying new restaurants, exploring new neighborhoods, and spending time with family and friends.
