As we welcome 2026, it's an ideal time to kick off or refresh your health care organization's compliance messaging. Most medical practices and health care providers are party to payer agreements that require maintaining an effective compliance program. Two foundational components of such a program are: (1) a clearly articulated Code of Conduct (regardless of its specific title), and (2) regular education and communication to ensure your workforce understands and follows that Code of Conduct.
January is widely viewed as a season for new commitments, making it a natural opportunity to highlight and reinforce your compliance program. At a minimum, consider sending brief communication to staff with your current Code of Conduct attached and reiterate key expectations. For larger or more complex organizations, a more comprehensive approach may be appropriate, such as a leadership message launching a year‑opening compliance theme, targeted refresher education, or documented attestations to the Code of Conduct.

We wish you a productive and successful 2026. Our success is built on the success of our clients.
