TOLEDO, OH — Isabel M. Remer has joined Shumaker as an associate in its Litigation & Disputes Service Line, further strengthening the team's ability to guide clients through complex disputes at every stage of litigation.
A dedicated client advocate, Isabel works with clients to understand their objectives, assess risk, and develop practical strategies aimed at securing favorable outcomes. Her thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach helps clients navigate litigation efficiently and with confidence.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Isabel served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable James R. Knepp II of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. In that role, she gained valuable insight into federal court procedures, judicial decision-making, and effective advocacy—experience she now brings to her litigation practice.
Isabel earned her J.D. from The University of Toledo College of Law, where she served as Technical Editor of The University of Toledo Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif.
