Tampa Partner Steve Berman participated in a panel entitled, "Evidence: Back to Basics," at the American Bankruptcy Institute's Rocky Mountain Bankruptcy Conference on January 28, 2022. The panel included Steve, the Honorable Cathleen D. Parker, United States Bankruptcy Judge, District of Wyoming, Jennifer M. Salisbury, of Markus Williams Young & Hunsicker LLC and Steven T. Waterman, of Dorsey & Whitney LLP.

Steve's particular focuses on the panel were to know the elements of a claim, the foundation of an exhibit, addressing hearsay, special considerations on appraisals, demonstrative exhibits, judicial notice, and proffers of testimony/evidence.
