Daniel J. DeLeo Receives Board Certification in Business Litigation

SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Daniel J. DeLeo, partner in the Sarasota office, has been certified in Business Litigation by The Florida Board of Legal Specialization and Education.  There are only 14 attorneys in Sarasota (218 attorneys in the State) with this certification.  Certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the area of Labor and Employment Law.

Dan’s practice involves commercial disputes, with an emphasis on contract disputes and business torts.  He has extensive experience in the areas of business litigation, products liability, and class actions.  Prior to joining the firm, Dan litigated a wide variety of commercial cases in Chicago, representing both individuals and corporations, as well as, handling medical, insurance broker and legal malpractice cases.  He also served as an arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program.

Dan received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law School and his B.A., with honors, from Albertson College of Idaho.
