Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick Donates More than $10,000 to Local Nonprofits

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota office of Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick, LLP, a full-service business law firm, donated $2,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast this week, bringing their year-to-date giving total to $10,112 to area nonprofit organizations.

"We are so fortunate to live in such a caring and giving community,” said Joy Mahler, president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast. “We are grateful to Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick for supporting the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast. Thank you for helping change the lives of the children we serve for the better, forever," she said. “The funds from Shumaker will contribute to supporting two matches of “Littles” with “Bigs.”

Leadership Shumaker Sarasota, the philanthropic arm of the Sarasota law firm, elected to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast as one of its three main beneficiary organizations this year, along with Family Promise and the Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center, Inc. (SPARCC).

The donations stem from fundraising, special event coordination or through the group’s funds held by the Toledo Community Foundation.
