Malcolm J. Pitchford to Present at "Quiet Title Actions in Florida" Seminar

Pitchford will speak at a seminar sponsored by the National Business Institute (BNI) on "Quiet Title Actions in Florida" on June 17, 2015 at the Tampa Westshore Mariott.  Quiet title actions are currently on the rise from a number of different scenarios - tax deed sales, "robo-signing" and other fraudulent foreclosure acts, mineral right issues, break in chain, adverse possession, and legal description errors are just a few of the issues that can initiate the need for a lawsuit to establish title to the property and remove any clouds.  This seminar will explain current procedures, discovery strategies, jurisdictional challenges, rules and legal requirements involved in these complicated lawsuits.  Legal strategies for identifying parties and getting service on them, review lis pendens and complaint requirements, gain practical negotiation strategies and more will be discussed at this seminar.  Visit to register or for more information.

Mike has substantial experience in representing financial institutions in a wide variety of commercial lending and related transactions including asset based lending, receivables financing, real estate acquisition/development, construction lending, mezzanine financing, letters of credit, loan workouts and disposition of troubled loans and REO/CREO assets.  He also regularly represents institutional lenders in connection with negotiating and documenting asset recovery and loan workouts, including forbearance agreements, confidentiality agreements and deeds in lieu of foreclosure.  In addition, Mike regularly represents individual and private lenders in connection with commercial and residential acquisition, development and construction loans.

Mike is also a Certified Civil Court Mediator and Panelist for the American Arbitration Association.  He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.
