Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP Earns Accolades for Financial Transaction

SARASOTA, Fla. A financial transaction handled by Benjamin R. Hanan of the Sarasota office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP has been chosen as a finalist in the ‘Deal of the Year’ category of The New York affiliate of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG New York) Champion’s Awards.

Nominated by investment group SJ Partners, the award acknowledges Shumaker for its role in representing Spectrio LLC in a 2014 transaction in which The Riverside Company acquired a majority stake in the Oldsmar, Fla. based company. Spectrio is a leading national provider of on-hold messaging and digital signage managed services. Attorney and Sarasota managing partner Benjamin R. Hanan handled the transaction for Spectrio, a long-time client.

“We are extremely proud of this transaction being recognized as a finalist for an ACG New York Champion’s Award,” said Hanan. “In our industry and among such an impressive group of finalists, this is truly an accolade that we are honored to be associated with.”

Hanan has represented Spectrio LLC for more than a decade handling numerous acquisitions, refinances and other transactions.

In addition to serving as Sarasota’s managing partner, Hanan is the co-chair of Shumaker’s firm-wide management committee. As an attorney and CPA, Hanan works in Shumaker’s corporate and trust and estate practice groups and deals primarily with business law and estate planning. That dual role makes him uniquely qualified to counsel business owners and their families on succession planning and family business matters.
