Dozens of Restaurants and Breweries Join Forces for Best of Tampa Bay Fundraiser

TAMPA, Fla. — More than 40 Tampa Bay restaurants, caterers and breweries are coming together on April 16 at the Best of Tampa Bay fundraiser benefitting the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.

The all-you-can-eat event is the Straz Center’s signature fundraiser, and attorney Sarah M. Glaser, from the full-service business law firm Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick, LLP, is serving on the planning committee for Best of Tampa Bay.  She has been involved with the committee for two years, and this year she and her husband, Zach Glaser, are co-chairing the table sales committee.

The Straz Center brings world-class artists to the stage, encourages the creation of new works and nurtures young artists.  For 31 years, Best of Tampa Bay has brought together food and beverage vendors to support the Straz Center’s goals.  Since its first year, Best of Tampa Bay has raised more than $2 million for arts education programs.

“I was a thespian when I was younger, and I really believe in supporting performing arts in the community,” Glaser said.  “This is one of the longest-standing and best-regarded food and beverage festivals in the area.  It’s a great way to show off our local restaurants and breweries.”

Best of Tampa Bay guests will enjoy full open bars with specialty wine tastings, five live bands and several local craft microbrews, including selections from Shumaker client Brew Bus Brewing.  The event will be held along the Straz Center’s riverfront.

Tickets can be purchased for as low as $75 at www.strazcenter.org/Best-Of-Tampa-Bay.
