SARASOTA, Fla. — The Sarasota YMCA is hoping to raise $135,000 through its annual caring campaign this year, which concludes on April 6. The organization has already raised $95,000 toward the goal.
Attorney Ryan S. Nichols, from the full-service business law firm Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick, LLP, serves on the Sarasota YMCA board for the Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Branch and is participating in the Annual Caring Campaign.
“The YMCA has a tremendous amount of programs, especially geared towards seniors and youth, and all of the money we raise through our Caring Campaign goes directly to scholarships for these programs and more,” Nichols said.
The Annual Caring Campaign allows the YMCA to provide membership scholarships and financial assistance to local individuals, children and families in need.
“I enjoy being involved with causes and organizations like the YMCA that have a large impact on children because if you catch kids at a young age, you can really make a difference,” Nichols said.
