SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Sarasota partners Adria Maria Jensen and Douglas A. Cherry presented “Social Media Issues in Family Law” at the Family Law Section meeting of the Sarasota County Bar Association on May 25, 2017.  The presentation dealt with issues surrounding social media, email and texts in family law cases.

Adria' practice focuses on general business litigation, real estate litigation and probate and estate litigation, including guardianships. Adria assists clients in establishing guardianships for their loved ones and represents clients in trust and estates disputes and probate litigation, such as will contests and estate administration disputes. As a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, Adria endeavors to bridge the gap between complex disputes and practical solutions.  Adria speaks, reads and writes Spanish fluently, allowing her to advocate, counsel, negotiate and mediate in both English and Spanish.

Doug is Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law.  Doug’s practice focuses on intellectual property (patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret and unfair competition) consulting, acquisition, licensing and litigation.  He also focuses on computer and technology law, including data breach issues, business law and entertainment law, including consulting clients and attorneys in electronic discovery issues, domain name disputes, E-commerce agreements, technology implementation transactions and software performance disputes, consulting and employment agreements, and technology licensing.
