Berman was a panelist on the Plenary Session: Case Law Update at the 42nd Annual Judge Alexander L. Paskay Seminar on Bankruptcy Law and Practice January 18, 2018 in Tampa. The seminar, which bears Judge Paskay’s name, serves as a tribute to the local, national and international bankruptcy community of Judge Paskay’s immeasurable contributions to the scholarship and practice of insolvency law for nearly fifty years.
Steve has over 27 years of experience and has focused his practice as a business bankruptcy litigator representing creditors, trustees, committees and business entities litigating disputes in bankruptcy court. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Certification in both Creditors' Rights Law and Business Bankruptcy Law, is a member of the Florida, California, District of Columbia and District of Puerto Rico Bars and is also admitted to practice in all federal courts in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the federal courts in the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Steve received his J.D. from University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.S. in Multinational Business Operations from Florida State University.
