Yadley was named The Florida Bar’s Business Law Section “2018 Member of the Year.” Greg was recognized for his accomplishments as Chair of the Section’s Long Range Planning Committee and as Chair of the Section-sponsored 36th Annual Federal Securities Institute. The Business Law Section is comprised of more than 5,000 transactional lawyers, commercial litigators, intellectual property and bankruptcy lawyers, in-house counsel and members of the federal and Florida judiciary.
Greg is Co-Chair of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick’s Corporate Practice Group in Tampa. He recently served as a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies. Greg is past Chair of the ABA Business Law Section’s Middle Market and Small Business Committee and Co-Chair of the Private Placement Broker-Dealer Task Force. He is past Chairman of the Florida Bar’s Business Law Section (and former Chair of the Corporations and Securities Committee), and has been a member of that Section’s Executive Counsel since 1984. Greg formerly served as Branch Chief at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Assistant General Counsel for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, both in Washington, D.C., prior to entering private practice in Tampa, Florida with Shackleford, Farrior, Stallings & Evans, P.A. and Dykema Gossett. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, a frequent lecturer and contributor to legal periodicals, co-author of The Florida Bar Florida Corporate Practice Manual and Chair of the Annual Federal Securities Institute.
