TOLEDO, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that John H. Burson was recently honored by the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) for his 50 years of service to the law profession. John was recognized at the OSBA’s District 4 Annual Meeting on October 16th at The Toledo Club. 

John is a partner in the Toledo office. His principal areas of practice are estate planning, corporate, and taxation law.  He is an Accredited Estate Planner.

John has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America^® in the Trusts and Estates category. He is a member of the Toledo and Ohio State Bar Associations and a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is Chairman of Chaine des Rotisseurs Foundation and Conseil Magistral of the International Chaine des Rosisseurs. He is also a Trustee Emeritus of the University of Findlay, a Retired Captain in the United States Naval Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corp., and former President of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. 

John received his LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, and his B.A. from Williams College.
