COLUMBUS, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Trina Goethals has joined the Columbus office as an associate attorney.

Trina focuses her practice on general litigation. She represents clients in a broad scope of civil and criminal litigation matters in both state and federal court and in all facets of pre-and post-trial litigation, encompassing pre-suite investigations and discovery, mediation, motion practice, and collecting on judgments.

Founder of the Ohio Chapter of Women’s White Collar Defense Association and a mentee of the Criminal Justice Act Panel, Trina has experience representing parties who are under investigation from a federal investigatory body, persons who have been charged with federal crimes, such as drug crimes and white collar crimes, sentencing phase of a plea or finding of guilt, and representing potential witnesses. In addition, she has counseled several college students who have been accused of student misconduct, either because of criminal charge, hazing, or sexual assault.
