TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP was pleased to again participate as a sponsor of the Outback Bowl at Raymond James Stadium on January 1st.  Shumaker partner Todd Timmerman served as the Chair of the Outback Bowl for the 2019 game.  The exciting matchup featured the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the outcome was not determined until the final seconds. Timmerman commented “Shumaker has a long history of involvement with the Bowl. It is an honor for the firm to have been associated with such a prestigious organization and game for the past 30 years.”

For 30 years the Outback Bowl has made a positive impact on the Tampa Bay region and college football. Over its history, the 501(c)(3) organization has contributed $148 million to education and generated an estimated over $1 billion in economic impact for the Tampa Bay area.  The Outback Bowl generates millions of dollars in national and international exposure for the region each year, and in just the last two years alone has donated $500,000 to dozens of local charities.  In fact the biggest winner each year is the Tampa Bay community.
