Columbus Partner Kevin Braig Brings Arnold Rothstein to Life 100 Years After the Fixed 1919 World Series

  • 07.10.2019

COLUMBUS, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that on September 4, 2019, Columbus Partner Kevin Braig will be presenting “Rothstein on Trial,” a dramatic, educational continuing legal education (CLE) on-demand webinar that looks at the fixed 1919 World Series through the eyes of an active legal practitioner. Exactly 100 years ago, somebody fixed the game by bribing players on the Chicago “Black Sox” to not play their best against the Cincinnati Reds, and the primary suspect was New York City bookmaker Arnold Rothstein. The series is designed to educate and entertain both lawyers and non-lawyers and will bring Arnold Rothstein to life and present the evidence that Rothstein bribed the Black Sox and fixed the 1919 World Series. CLE credit currently is available in 39 states.   For more information visit: https://www.shumaker.com/sports-betting-and-the-law.
