CHARLESTON, SC – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Nicholas “Nick” C. Sottile and Katie Hinson Lewis have joined the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina office as partners. Nick and Katie practiced with the local firm of Sottile, Hopkins & Lewis, LLC prior to the move. “We are thrilled that Nick and Katie have chosen to make Shumaker their home. We have worked collaboratively over the years and knew firsthand what quality lawyers and people they are. The addition will create our office’s real estate team and complement our existing corporate law practice,” said Laura Evans, the office’s Managing Partner.

Nick Sottile received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his B.S. in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. Nick’s practice emphasizes business formations, corporate transactions, and real estate transactions.

Katie Lewis received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and her B.S. in Business Administration from Coastal Carolina University. Katie’s practice emphasizes real estate and corporate transactions.

Also joining is their paralegal Jacqueline “Jackie” Buzard, who has completed over 4,000 real estate closings.
