CHARLOTTE, NC – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Andrew S. Culicerto has rejoined the firm as head of the Charlotte Construction Law practice group.

Andy represents clients in the areas of construction litigation, complex commercial litigation, contract drafting/negotiations, OSHA, arbitration, and general litigation. He is licensed in both North and South Carolina, and devotes a significant portion of his practice to construction litigation and general business disputes.
Andy's experience as both general counsel and outside counsel has allowed him to develop a well-rounded approach when faced with difficult legal issues. This extensive construction knowledge has allowed him to work with general contractors, owners, developers, subcontractors, suppliers, and sureties during every stage of the construction process. Known to be aggressive, yet fair if settlement best serves his clients, Andy has litigated and advised on planned community construction litigation, multi-party construction claims, government contracts, subgrade and foundation failures, bid disputes, licensing, CPM scheduling, delay, acceleration and inefficiency claims, envelope failures leading to water intrusion, solar energy procurement and delivery, and lien claims.
Andy has been active in the Construction Law Section of the North Carolina and South Carolina Bar Associations. He is an active member in multiple construction trade organizations throughout the Carolinas and is a past member of the Carolinas AGC Board of Directors. Andy has long shared his experience with colleagues and clients by frequently lecturing and publishing on various construction law topics.
