COLUMBUS, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Ali W. Latif has joined the firm’s Columbus office as an associate in the Litigation practice group.

“With his varied background and language skills, Ali will be a tremendous asset for our White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations practice,” said Partner David Axelrod. “We expect him to hit the ground running in matters ranging from health care to securities fraud.”

Ali’s practice focuses on business litigation, white-collar defense, and corporate investigations. He prides himself on working efficiently and diligently, being respectful to colleagues and clients, and ensuring excellent results. Clients benefit from his personalized approach to representation, as well as the fact he is trilingual; English, Arabic, and Spanish.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Ali founded Latif Law, LLC where he zealously represented clients’ interests. His extensive experience includes business law, public policy, criminal, divorce, and immigration law.

Ali also believes in giving back to the community. While growing his practice, he volunteered over 220 hours with the Legal Aid Society of Columbus and was recognized for his hard work with the 2019 LASC/CBA/CBF New Attorney Pro Bono Award. In addition, in law school, he was selected by his law school graduating class as a “person you would most want representing you in the courtroom.”
