Shumaker Strengthens its Litigation and Community Associations Practice Groups with the Addition of Brian J. Hart

TAMPA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Brian J. Hart has joined the Tampa office as a staff attorney in the Litigation practice group where he focuses primarily on community associations.

“We look forward to Brian maintaining the excellence for which Shumaker is known in representing community associations,” said Partner and Community Associations Practice Administrator, Jonathan Ellis.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Brian was an Assistant State Attorney of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit, where he gained significant litigation experience both individually and as co-counsel. In his role, Brian managed more than 300 cases, which included conducting and defending depositions, legal research, witness preparation, and drafting briefs for appeals filed against the State.

While in law school, Brian was the Executive Director of Florida Coastal’s Pro Bono Program, Coordinator of the Veteran’s Legal Collaborative, and President of the Military Law Society. Brian completed over 400 hours of legal pro bono work, most of which were dedicated to assisting local homeless veterans in the Jacksonville, Florida area.

Brian is a decorated United States Army Veteran. While serving in the Army, Brian deployed multiple times to the Middle East in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
