CHARLOTTE, NC – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Emily J. Allen has rejoined Shumaker’s Med Mal team as a nurse paralegal in the Charlotte Office.

Emily was the first nurse paralegal for the Med Mal team in the Charlotte office. Hired as an independent consultant in 2004 to analyze medical records, prepare medical chronologies and trial exhibits, research relevant medical literature and standards of practice, and to provide lawyers with a better understanding of the medical aspects of their cases.                                  

Prior to joining Shumaker, Emily specialized in perioperative nursing, practicing in a number of inpatient and outpatient surgical facilities in Arizona, Connecticut, and North Carolina. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa.
