Amanda is a member of the Health Care practice group and focuses primarily on health care regulation and compliance.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Amanda worked extensively in health care regulation and compliance, along with medical malpractice and nursing home litigation. She has conducted health care compliance and regulation research and prepared opinion letters providing legal advice to a large hospital chain regarding a variety of issues, including retention of medical records, medical staff governance, and compliance with federal and state regulations. In addition to her work in compliance and regulation, she is well-versed in medical malpractice and nursing home litigation. In litigation cases, her responsibilities have included extensive review of medical records, client reporting, and client representation at hearings and depositions.
