Conor Burns Inducted Into the Order of the Coif

TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Tampa associate, Conor Burns, has been inducted into the Order of the Coif.  The Order of the Coif is an honorary scholastic society whose purpose is to encourage excellence in legal education by recognizing those who as law students attained a high grade of scholarship.

During his final year of law school, Conor served as a judicial extern for both Chief Judge Mark Walker of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and Justice Ricky Polston of the Supreme Court of Florida. Additionally, while in law school, Conor worked in highly-regulated legal fields involving solar energy, net metering, and environmental regulation compliance. Conor was also a summer associate at Shumaker, where he worked with the Corporate practice group.

Conor finished third in his class while obtaining his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law. He earned his B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from Baylor University.
