TAMPA, FL – Tampa Partner Ronald A. Christaldi, Cornerstone Class 36, has been appointed to Leadership Florida’s West Central Region Council and Sarasota Partner Daniel J. DeLeo, Cornerstone Class 33, has been appointed to the Calusa Region Council. Created in 1982 by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Florida seeks to build a sense of statewide community by identifying and educating individuals who have the passion, commitment, and positioning to help make great things happen. Leadership Florida also develops bonds among the nearly 1,300 active member Floridians who combine their talents and resources to build an even greater Florida, community by community.
Ron, a Board Certified Health Lawyer and President and CEO of Shumaker Advisors Florida, is known for connecting and building relationships within the community. Generous with his time, he chaired the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Suncoast Chapter’s 2018 Tampa Light The Night Walk. Ron also serves in leadership roles for numerous organizations, including the Tampa Museum of Art, Tampa Bay Chamber, Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, Friends of the Riverwalk, Inc., City of Tampa Charter Review Commission, Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts, City of Tampa Creative Industries Council, and the Tampa Theatre Facility Master Plan Task Force, among other groups. A founding member of the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Leadership Trust, Ron was also recently named to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees and the Ybor City Development Corporation Board of Directors.
Dan, who is Board Certified in Business Litigation is known as a problem-solver to his clients which include some of the largest private and public entities in Sarasota County. As a member of numerous education committees including the Financial Advisory Committee for the School Board of Sarasota County and as the President of Citizens for Better Schools, Dan has been a leader in education, including leading the county school tax campaign over the last 10 years. He is also Vice Chair of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, a Board Member for the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County, a Board Member of Sarasota Crew, a member of the Advisory Boards of Forty Carrots Family Center and the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast, and he was also the past chairman of that organization.
