Sarasota Lawyers Meghan Serrano and Brett Henson to Present CLE Course for the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section

SARASOTA, FL – Sarasota Lawyers, Meghan Serrano and Brett Henson, will be presenting a CLE for The Florida Bar entitled, “Covid-19 Considerations for Real Property and Construction Disputes.”  The October 14th course will provide a framework for understanding COVID-19 related real property and construction disputes, practical recommendations for drafting dispute avoidance or mitigation provisions in the wake of COVID-19, and a survey of recent trends regarding potentially available coverage under property insurance policies. The course will also supply two hours of CLE credit and two hours of credit for certification in the areas of business litigation, construction law, and real estate. Meghan is Board Certified in Business Litigation by The Florida Bar, and focuses her practice in business disputes, representing business owners, employers, and property owners in both state and federal court at the trial level and on appeal.

Brett is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Construction Law and devotes a substantial portion of his practice to handling all types of construction disputes, including claims related to breach of contract, delay damages, workmanship and design defects, fidelity and surety bonds, and Florida’s Construction Lien Law.  He counsels and assists construction industry professionals regarding dispute avoidance procedures, along with contract preparation, review, and negotiation. Brett also uses his experience and knowledge in resolving claims involving insurance proceeds and insurance coverage.
