CHARLOTTE, NC – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick’s Corporate practice group continues to flourish with the addition of Associate Garra Brown-Bartley, focused on general corporate matters, bankruptcy, employee benefits, executive compensation, and mergers & acquisitions.

“Garra is a high-energy individual with real-world business experience,” said Partner and Corporate Practice Group Co-Administrator Phil Chubb. “She’s a great addition to our Corporate practice group!”

Passionate about the law, Garra’s hard work and dedication make her a true client advocate, whether by negotiating terms of a deal or drafting business transactional documents to accomplish their goals.

Before joining Shumaker, Garra received her B.A. in Business Administration from Warner University and her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. While at Wake Forest, Garra served on the Moot Court Board and contributed to the Wake Forest Journal of Law and Policy. Garra also participated in Shumaker’s Summer Associate Program in 2019.

Prior to law school, Garra gained a great deal of experience working six years for a Charlotte-based company that provides a global portfolio of brands and digital platforms to a broad range of industries, including technology, retail, telecommunications, education, and energy.
