Tampa Partner Jonathan Ellis Participates as Panelist on George Edgecomb Bar Association Diversity Panel

TAMPA, FL – Tampa partner Jonathan Ellis participated as a panelist for the George Edgecomb Bar Association’s panel discussion “Obtaining, Maintaining, and Elevating Black Lawyers in Law Firms.” The panel discussed improving diversity in large law firms. Other members of the panel included Lori Baggett, managing shareholder at Carlton Fields, Tiffany McElheran, shareholder at Bush Ross, and moderator Joseline Hardrick, of Journey to Esquire.

With a focus on the complex areas of community associations law (Condo and HOA), Jonathan’s clients turn to him for his experience. He represents associations in general corporate matters, including providing legal opinions, overseeing meetings and elections and document review and amendments.   With respect to litigation, he represents associations in collection of assessments enforcement of covenants to complex multi-party construction litigation and defense of an association’s officers and directors. The foundation of his practice stems from the fact he is president of his own homeowners association and he can relate to the issues his clients are facing.
