TAMPA, FL – Tampa Partner Megan Dempsey has been invited to serve on New Robles Park Village Steering Committee. Megan was one of several notable community leaders identified to sit on the committee that will advise on the development of the new master plan for Robles Park Village, one of Tampa’s first public housing projects in one of the area’s most historic neighborhoods. The Tampa Housing Authority recently selected Baker Barrios Architects and Property Markets Group (PMG) to develop the new master plan for Robles Park Village.

Megan is a highly effective commercial real estate lawyer, corporate leader and community advocate. A property law practitioner for more than 20 years, Megan’s experience includes: transacting on the acquisition and disposition of land, including assemblages and areas of environmental concern; structuring interim and permanent loans; representing clients in land use matters; negotiating commercial leases and use agreements; and addressing matters associated with the ongoing ownership of a real estate such as management, occupant default, change of use and refinancing. She is also experienced in representing companies in condemnation as both the condemning authority and an impacted owner. For many years, Megan represented TECO Energy as senior corporate counsel where she served virtually all business units and advised TECO leadership.

Megan advocates for the health and safety of children and families as a long-term gubernatorial appointee and the past chair of the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County and serves as a volunteer attorney with Bay Area Legal Services.
