TAMPA, FL – Exemplifying superior qualifications, leadership skills, and performance in their legal careers, Shumaker Lawyers Timaura E. Barfield and Jaide L. Beverly have been selected as members of The National Black Lawyers – Top 40 Under 40. This elite honor is given to 40 of the most talented black attorneys in each state who are under the age of 40, and have demonstrated excellence and achieved outstanding results in their careers. Timaura was chosen for inclusion into the Top 40 Under 40 in North Carolina and Jaide was selected in Florida, after a multi-phase process, which includes peer nominations combined with third-party research.
The National Black Lawyers is a professional honorary organization, membership for which is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to attorneys who excel in their profession or promote diversity.

Timaura focuses her legal practice on defending health care providers in medical malpractice cases and before regulatory authorities. Through the mentorship of experienced medical malpractice lawyers, coupled with her significant legal research and writing background, she has proven to be a passionate lawyer for the clients she represents.
Jaide is a lawyer in the Health Care group, where she focuses her practice on the representation of a variety of health care clients, including hospitals, academic medical centers, and physicians, with respect to their regulatory, compliance, transactional, contractual, and business needs. Her experience includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of contractual arrangements, and advising research institutions in regulatory research integrity matters.
