CHARLOTTE, NC – Timaura E. Barfield continues her involvement with her Alma Mater, High Point University (HPU), by accepting a new position on the Alumni Board of Directors. In 2020, Timaura was honored with the Outstanding Alumni award at their Homecoming celebration.
"I am honored to serve on the High Point University Alumni Board of Directors. It is a privilege to serve alongside accomplished leaders who share the same passion for the University. High Point University is truly an extraordinary institution, and I look forward to contributing my leadership and implementing new initiatives to ensure the continued success of students and alumni," said Timaura.
The HPU Alumni Board of Directors is comprised of accomplished leaders who encapsulate the qualities and passions that make HPU an extraordinary place to call home. It acts as an advisory board and liaison to the administration of HPU on matters related to alumni engagement and fulfills their mission to engage and involve all alumni with HPU.
At Shumaker, Timaura's practice focuses primarily on defending health care providers in medical malpractice cases and before regulatory authorities. Through the mentorship of experienced medical malpractice lawyers, coupled with her significant legal research and writing background, she has proven to be a passionate lawyer for the clients she represents.
