Long-Time Supporter of the Tampa Bay Community Michele Leo Hintson Named Secretary/Treasurer of the Pasco EDC Board of Directors

TAMPA, FL – Partner Michele Leo Hintson continues to be a prominent community leader and has been named the Secretary and Treasurer of the Pasco Economic Development Council (Pasco EDC) Board of Directors, where she has been a board member since 2017 and served as Vice Chair of the Growth Task Force from 2015 to 2016. Shumaker has been an investor of the Pasco EDC since 2015, which is the lead economic development organization dedicated to the overall growth and prosperity of Pasco County through the development of a sustainable and diversified economy.

“Engagement is a really important part of what we do and Michele has been a very active board member throughout her tenure with the Pasco EDC, volunteering on many committees,” shared President/CEO Pasco EDC Bill Cronin. “She brings passion and commitment to her role and we are excited to have her join the Executive Committee and continue to support our mission.”

Michele is the Litigation and Disputes Regional Service Line Leader in Shumaker’s Tampa office. She is a seasoned business litigator and Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator who dedicates her practice to representing individuals and a variety of businesses, including insurance companies, for profit entities, and health care organizations, with their litigation needs. Her dedication extends well beyond the courtroom to the Tampa Bay Community, where she is a member of the Florida Bar Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She has also served on various boards, including the Junior League of Tampa, PACE Center for Girls Pasco, and the Humane Society of Pinellas County, just to name a few.
