Shumaker Attorney Gregory C. Yadley Presents at the American Bar Association Business Law Section Annual Meeting

TAMPA, FL – Gregory C. Yadley, Partner in the Tampa office, participated in the continuing legal education (CLE) presentation, “Traps for the Unwary in Blue Sky Private Placements Exemptions from Securities Registration,” at the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Section’s virtual annual meeting on September 23, 2021. He addressed Florida and Ohio regulations governing securities offerings and participated in the panel discussion on state and federal exemptions from registration for such transactions.

Greg is Shumaker’s Corporate, Tax and Transactions Regional Service Line Leader in the Tampa office and was appointed to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee in 2019, after serving as a member of the SEC Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies throughout its six-year charter. Greg is also the current Chair of the Board of Directors of The Florida Orchestra. He has served as Chairman of Visit Tampa Bay, the Hillsborough County Arts Council, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Tampa Alumni, City of Tampa Public Art Committee, Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts, Inc., the University Club of Tampa, and the Dartmouth Club of Tampa Bay.
