Tony S. Draksic Brings Highly Secure and Innovative Solutions to his Role as New Chief Information Officer

TOLEDO, OH – Shumaker announced today the hiring of Tony S. Draksic as the firm’s new Chief Information Officer (CIO), who will help focus the firm’s use of data, software, and technology to drive growth and create value for clients and attorneys. Tony, who most recently served as CIO for a prominent Am Law 200 law firm, brings 20 years of enterprise-wide information technology (IT) experience to Shumaker, leading teams across multiple IT disciplines, including applications, infrastructure, service delivery, eDiscovery, training, operations, and security.

“Technology is the foundation of all business and when our current CIO announced his retirement in March, we understood that finding the right person to lead our technology strategy would be critical,” said Chief Operating Officer Paul Favorite. “After a national search, we selected Tony to join our administrative team to provide our strategic direction. Tony comes to us from a large Am Law 200 firm with 20 locations and 400 attorneys. His experience developing technology strategy and scalability with a laser focus on client needs, attorney efficiency, system reliability, and resiliency will allow us to accelerate our efforts and take advantage of the ever-changing technology landscape.”

“As our clients become more innovative, it is important we take our digital capabilities to new levels to further differentiate ourselves with clients and from competitors,” shared Chairman Tom Dillon. “Tony adds dimension to our team, reimagining the digital experience for our clients and attorneys, using real-time data to bring that vision to life.”

Tony believes that a robust technology infrastructure, the right people, and streamlined processes are the keys to making a law firm more productive for lawyers, as well as the clients they serve. He has a proven track record of success collaborating with lawyers and professional staff to create and implement solutions that enhance the firm and empower internal and external clients.
