SARASOTA, FL – Attorney C. Jade Davis’ outstanding reputation among peers helped land her on this year’s National Black Lawyers (NBL) 40 Under 40, a professional honorary organization composed of the 40 most talented black lawyers age 40 or younger in each state or region who represent individuals and businesses in the American legal system. In order to receive an invitation, nominees must have an exceptional reputation in the legal community, notable achievements, settlements, and verdicts as a lawyer, nominations from leading lawyers, current NBL members and Executive Committee members, leadership and membership in other national and state specialty lawyer organizations, and rankings and ratings by leading national evaluation organizations
The NBL is an elite network of African American legal experts, created to celebrate legal excellence by promoting attorneys as subject-matter experts, developing a strong national network of top African American attorneys, and facilitating the exchange of timely information to enable our members to maintain their status as leaders.
Jade is a member of Shumaker’s Litigation and Disputes Service Line where she focuses her practice on the areas of commercial and business litigation in the real estate, construction, employment, and manufacturing sectors. She dedicates her practice to representing individuals and a variety of businesses with their litigation needs. She also works closely with transactional attorneys to analyze risk and counsels clients in various industries both during and after litigation.
Jade is also deeply involved in the legal community. Jade is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, where she serves as Director of the Young Lawyers Division and a member of the Council for Diversity and Inclusion. Jade also serves on The Florida Bar Diversity and Inclusion Committee as Co-Chair for the Multicultural Subcommittee and the Real Property Probate & Trust Law Committee as the Co-Chair of the Construction Law Website Subcommittee for the Construction Law Committee, among many other legal and community organizations.
