Shumaker Managing Partner Ron Christaldi Renamed Tampa Bay EDC General Counsel

Tampa, FL – Ron Christaldi, the managing partner of Shumaker’s Tampa law office and the founder and president/CEO of Shumaker Advisors Florida, has been renamed the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council’s (EDC) General Counsel.

“I am honored that I will continue to be part of the EDC team,’’ Christaldi said. “The EDC plays a key role in the growth and success of this vibrant region, and I look forward to continuing our work in ensuring that our local economy remains strong and continues to add good jobs and attract new businesses.’’

The EDC’s primary mission is to develop and sustain a thriving economy by focusing on the recruitment, expansion and retention of high-wage jobs and capital investment. In addition to serving as the council’s general counsel, Christaldi also will continue to be a member of the EDC’s Executive Committee.

“Ron’s guidance, expertise and leadership have been invaluable to me and the organization,” said Craig Richard, president and CEO of the Tampa Bay EDC. “He’s always made the EDC a top priority, and I’m grateful to have him serve as our general counsel for another year.”

Ron, a business lawyer representing clients in complex transactions and litigation, and the president/CEO of the public affairs firm Shumaker Advisors Florida, is well-known for his legal acumen and for building relationships within the community. Named one of the 100 most influential lawyers in the nation and one of the top 100 lawyers in the State of Florida, Ron is a past chair of the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. He brings to his EDC general counsel role vast experience as business counsel and the ability to be a high-level connector.
