TAMPA, FL – Commercial real estate lawyer, corporate leader, and community advocate Megan Dempsey has been elected Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Tampa Bay Chapter, where she will work to help accomplish the chapter’s strategic goals.
With more than 200 members, CREW Tampa Bay is the leading organization for women in the Tampa Bay real estate industry. As part of CREW Network, the industry’s premier business organization, CREW Tampa Bay is dedicated to transforming the commercial real estate industry by advancing women globally.
“I am honored to have been elected to serve on CREW Tampa Bay’s Board of Directors,” said Megan. “CREW Tampa Bay is a key advocate for women in the industry and I look forward to serving alongside this distinguished group of community leaders to achieve the organization’s goal of creating more opportunities for women in commercial real estate.”
A property law practitioner for more than 20 years, Megan’s experience includes: transacting on the acquisition and disposition of land, including assemblages and areas of environmental concern; structuring interim and permanent loans; representing clients in land use matters; negotiating commercial leases and use agreements; and addressing matters associated with the ongoing ownership of a real estate, such as management, occupant default, and change of use and refinancing. She is also experienced in representing companies in condemnation as both the condemning authority and an impacted owner. For many years, Megan represented TECO Energy as senior corporate counsel where she served virtually all business units and advised TECO leadership.
