TAMPA, FL. — Leadership Florida is appointing Ron Christaldi to serve as an at-large member on its Board of Directors.
“Our entire membership voted for Ron to serve in this position,” said Wendy Spencer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Leadership Florida. “His dedication and commitment to making a difference for Floridians is well-known and respected. We are thrilled to have Ron take a larger leadership role with our organization.”
Ron is Shumaker’s Tampa Managing Partner and President/CEO, Shumaker Advisors Florida, LLC. While he has served on the Leadership Florida Board as audit chair, he will now become one of three at-large members in the state. His term started on July 1, 2022 and will last two years.

Leadership Florida was launched in 1982 to be a statewide community of leaders. The organization provides leadership training and educational classes and opportunities to inspire participants to work for a better Florida. There are more than 3,300 diverse alumni across the state, ranging from CEOs and elected officials to farmers, managers of high-tech consortiums, hospital administrators, and heads of Florida's most important agencies.
Ron has served a variety of organizations in a leadership capacity, including serving as the past chair of the Tampa Bay Chamber, past chair for the Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and Arts, past chair of the 2018 Leukemia Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk, and past chair of the American Heart Association’s 2021 Heart Ball. Ron also has been involved in connecting Tampa Bay with the world with his work in international relations, including the process of normalizing the relations in Cuba and maintaining sister city relationships in Ireland and Italy.
As a Board Certified Health Lawyer and attorney with a broad practice of both transactions and complex litigation, Ron was selected to The Business Journal's list as one of the Nation's 100 Most Influential Attorneys. Ron has also been recognized as one of the Top 50 Lawyers in Florida and one of the Best Lawyers in America by a variety of associations and magazines.
