James D. O’Donnell Joins Shumaker and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast Sarasota Community Board of Directors

SARASOTA, FL – Lawyer James D. O’Donnell recently made two moves: joining Shumaker as an associate in the Litigation and Disputes Service Line, and joining the Big Brother Big Sisters of the Sun Coast Sarasota Community Board of Directors.

At Shumaker, James represents organizations in all phases of litigation and focuses his practice on business and construction litigation. James is an intellectually curious, creative, and driven attorney who is committed to advocating for his clients at the highest level and working with clients in multiple industries. Before joining Shumaker, James practiced law in the Pacific Northwest, where he handled complex business and environmental litigation matters.

As a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast Sarasota Community Board of Directors, James joins a group of compassionate and dedicated individuals who do whatever it takes to help change children’s lives for the better.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast provides one-to-one mentoring relationships to children ages six to 18-years old throughout the Gulf Coast of Florida in Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto, Highlands, Hardee, Charlotte, Lee, Hendry, and Collier counties. The organization provides children facing adversity, often those of single or low-income households or families, with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships.
