TAMPA, Fla—Ron Christaldi, the Managing Partner of Shumaker’s Tampa law office and the Founder and President/CEO of Shumaker Advisors Florida, has been selected to serve on the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council (EDC) Board as Secretary Treasurer. This puts him in line to hold the board chair position in 2025.

The Tampa Bay EDC’s primary mission is to advance a diversified local economy that is beneficial to all by attracting, expanding, and retaining quality employers, a talented workforce, and investment. In 2022, the EDC closed 22 projects with both domestic and international companies to bring 2,663 new jobs and more than $105 million in capital investment. For the past few years, Ron has also served as EDC’s General Counsel and as a member of the Executive Committee.

Ron, a business lawyer representing clients in complex transactions and litigation, and the president/CEO of the public affairs firm Shumaker Advisors Florida, is well-known for his legal acumen and for building relationships within the community. Named one of the 100 most influential lawyers in the nation and one of the top 100 lawyers in the State of Florida, Ron is a past chair of the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. He brings to his EDC board role vast experience as business counsel and the ability to be a high-level connector.
