Shumaker’s Commitment to St. Petersburg Continues: Mindi M. Richter Selected to Leadership St. Pete® 2023 Class

TAMPA, FL – Shumaker Partner and Intellectual Property and Technology Regional Service Line Leader Mindi M. Richter has been chosen as a member of the Leadership St. Pete® 2023 Class, bolstering the firm’s already deep-seated commitment and support of St. Petersburg’s growth. In 2021, St. Pete had a 31 percent increase in economic impact from tourism, 2,350 new residential units announced, a 54 percent increase in new business formation in Pinellas County, and 214,000 square feet of new office space was announced.

Leadership St. Pete® is one of the oldest leadership programs in America and a division of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce. The program seeks to identify, recruit, and develop leaders who represent the diversity of the local community. Through a dynamic, intensive, interactive, six-month experience, Leadership St. Pete® is customized to provide a curriculum that enhances community acumen to develop the future leaders who will assume roles in the Chamber and other community organizations.

Mindi is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as an Intellectual Property Law Specialist. An experienced trial lawyer, Mindi litigates intellectual property cases of all types around the country, including claims such as trademark, patent, and copyright infringement, as well as trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and domain name disputes. Mindi also frequently handles trademark cases before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
