CHARLOTTE, NC – Shumaker Partner and Corporate, Tax and Transactions Regional Service Line Leader Joseph J. (Jack) Santaniello has been re-appointed to the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance (CRBA) Foundation Board of Directors, where he has served since 2020. He was also re-elected Secretary of that Board. CRBA is focused on working together, creating connections to promote and advance the Charlotte region's vibrant, innovative, and healthy economy.
“We are thrilled with the continuation of Jack’s leadership on the Foundation Board into 2023,” said CLT Alliance President and CEO Janet LaBar, who is also serving as interim president of the Foundation. “Jack’s sensibility, knowledge of governance, and commitment to community are valued qualities for the Board, and we’re grateful for his service to the Charlotte Region.”
“As a 30-plus year resident of Charlotte, it has been wonderful to see how the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, f/k/a the Charlotte Chamber, and the CRBA Foundation and all of its members have been so genuinely involved in the growth and evolution of this community,” said Jack. “It has been a pleasure being a long-term member of the CRBA, and in more recent years, a member of the CRBA Board of Advisors and currently a member of the CRBA Foundation Board of Directors.”
Known for his assertive and open-minded legal approach, corporate clients turn to Jack for his experience in mergers and acquisitions; general corporate and commercial transactional matters; and franchise, distribution and licensing law, as well as copyright and federal and state trademark matters.
Jack’s more than 25 years practicing law, in addition to his experiences throughout his life, such as being a volunteer firefighter in Chapel Hill while in college and an NCAA Division 1 soccer referee, bring a diverse set of skills and perspectives to facilitate his work in dealing with a broad set of issues. His understanding of the challenges faced by companies and their owners allows Jack to provide strategic counsel and representation in a wide range of business activities
