CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte Business Journal has named Shumaker Partner and Manufacturing Business Sector Co-Chair Lucas D. Garber among the 40 top business leaders under the age of 40 in the region. Now in its 30th year, the 40 Under 40 Awards recognize 40 Charlotte-area professionals under the age of 40 who are making great things happen not only in their careers, but also in their communities.
As one of Shumaker’s youngest partners, Lucas has quickly risen through the ranks to become a leader within the firm. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Disputes Service Line, where he focuses his practice on commercial litigation. Lucas is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in North and South Carolina. During his time at Shumaker, Lucas has worked for a large range of clients, from cyber security and financial technology companies to marketing and manufacturing companies.
In 2022, Lucas was selected as the Co-Chair of Shumaker’s Manufacturing Business Sector and is responsible for developing growth strategies for one of the firm’s largest industry sectors. A Charlotte native, Lucas believes his role extends beyond just that of a legal advisor; he regularly acts as an ambassador for the Charlotte business community, connecting clients with the professional services they need to relocate to the area.
